The Friends operates under a number of various policies and procedures. We require all members of our organization to review and abide by these policies.
SAFETY POLICY
In 2015, recognizing the inherent risk of some of the activities the Friends undertake, the Board adopted a Safety Policy. You can read it here.
ADVOCACY POLICY
The Friends is not an advocacy organization, nor does it participate in advocacy activities. Our Advocacy Policy provides the details behind this, and you can read that here.
MEDIA POLICY
Our Media Policy controls how we provide information to the world, defining who are our official spokespersons and how information is disclosed. You can read our Media Policy here.
WORKING WITH LIKE MINDED ORGANIZATIONS
The Friends believes in the power of partnerships, and are happy to work in collaboration with like-minded organizations — so long as our work meets this policy.
CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY
As a result of our close working relationships with Alberta Parks, we are privy to confidential information. Our policy covering this does NOT apply to our membership at large, but only to our Board members, our Employees and our Contractors who are the ones exposed to this confidential material. If you want to see what their obligations are regarding confidential information, click here.
