Trail Love Give Back

November 14, 2022 By //  by Nancy Ouimet

There is something truly special about Kananaskis Country that inspires Albertans and visitors to explore its wonder.

Our programs provide opportunities for people to give back to the trails and wild spaces they love, and help others to experience a meaningful connection with Kananaskis Country. Again this year, our superstar volunteers have contributed over 2,700 hours towards making Kananaskis great!

Now you can show your trail love with a donation to the Friends of Kananaskis Country.

From November 15 – December 11 – Help Us Raise $15,000

Your generous support will ensure our programs continue to foster a powerful connection with Kananaskis Country through trail stewardship, volunteer trail work events, education and outreach.

TRAIL LOVE - DONATE

For over 25 years, we’ve added more and more opportunities for you to give back to the trails you love. More trail care days, more diverse trails to work on in almost every corner of Kananaskis Country, and more fun projects to participate in.

With your help, we can keep growing these opportunities and keep making a difference!

 – FKC Board & Advisory Committee

For generations our families have enjoyed the majestic beauty and exhilaration of being out in the mountains. When we heard of FKC, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to help preserve this special place.

We can honestly say it has been one of the most fun and rewarding volunteering activities that we have done. We get to spend time in nature, learn what it takes to create and maintain those amazing trails, while meeting fantastic people and giving back to something we always loved.”

Anne & Chris Kean, Volunteers

Friends of Kananaskis Country helps to maintain outdoor resources used by enormous numbers of Albertans, Canadians and international visitors. Beyond this, FKC has a central role in ensuring that we do not take for granted the Kananaskis resource and maintain it for the future.

FKC fosters a community of people who care enough about Kananaskis to put their time into caring for its facilities. These volunteers are therefore motivated to look out for and speak out for the needs of Kananaskis Country.

Joe Casey, Volunteer

We look forward to reporting on the campaign’s progress and reminding you that

YOUR DONATION WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
