Our Supporters

Support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and clubs is critical to the success of the Friends of Kananaskis Country. The Friends is a non-profit organization that runs exclusively on donations. We give thanks to all our supporters.

Calgary FoundationCalgary Foundation has become one of our most significant supporters. They have provided funding to assist in interpretive trail work, support for our trail stewardship program and new strategic plan, and implementing of the Human Use Management project in partnership with the Town of Canmore and Kananaskis Parks.

We are using TRAFx trail counters and vehicle counters to estimate recreation use intensity on roads and trails in Kananaskis Country. This helps Alberta Parks improve visitor experience and better manage human use in key wildlife habitat.
