TRAIL CARE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
FORKS CAMPGROUND AND TRAIL WORK
This project will work out at the Forks campground (Kananaskis Lakes area) with Alberta Parks trails staff to move a large pile of firewood about 100m (with help of ATV/trailer and a power wheelbarrow), working with hand tools on some finishing touches on a new section of trail, and some reclamation work. This activity is suited to volunteers comfortable with physically challenging work, including access to the project (see note below).
IMPORTANT NOTE: access to this project will be via bike. Volunteers must be competent riding, and for some sections walking, an e-mountain bike on singletrack trail (8km, approx. 1.25 hrs each way). FKC will provide e-bikes, volunteers must provide their own helmet as well as carry their own backpack with clothes, food, water, etc. for the day.
