CTA Trail Night – National MTB Championships course

Canmore Trail Alliance Weekly Trail Days are starting up again on June 21! They happen every Thursday night (6-9pm), no sign up required. June 21, 28, July 5, 12 will be working on the National Mountain Bike Championships course. We’re excited to be connecting with you all again for another season of trail work!
About the Canmore Trail Alliance
The Friends launched the Canmore Trail Alliance in 2016 to engage trail users and local land stewards in trail maintenance and building in the Canmore Area.
When: Trail days are every Thursday night from 6-9pm. No sign up required.
Meeting time: 6:00pm
Meeting location: Canmore Nordic Centre – meet in Stadium area
What to expect: The Canadian National MTB Championships return to the Canmore Nordic Centre July 21-22 and there are some new sections of trail in the works. We’ll either be working on building new trail (yellow on map) or doing some maintenance on the existing nationals course (purple ovals on the map).
What to bring: Supportive footwear (i.e. sturdy hiking boots), gloves and bear spray. We’ll walk from the Stadium to the work area(s). The level of effort will range from medium to difficult and include hand tool work such as digging a new trail, removing duff and earth with hoes and pulaskis, and shoveling/raking out rutting.
