WINTER TRAIL MAINTENANCE
This project will work with Alberta Parks staff to do brushing and limbing of winter snowshoe and nordic ski trails on various trails in the Evan-Thomas Provincial Recreation Area (near Kananaskis Village). The level of work will be moderate. We’ll be using hand tools (long handled pruners and hand saws), as well as chucking and dragging the cut material into the forest. A good pair of high winter boots is needed. Snowshoes or nordic skis are also welcome if you would like to snowshoe/ski to the project sites.
