PRAIRIE CREEK TRAIL DAY
Our 2020 priority in this area will focus on trail maintenance of Prairie Creek and Powderface Creek Trails.
Date: Wednesday, July 8
Meeting time: 9:00am (work day: 9:00am-4:00pm)
Meeting location: Powderface Day Use - go through Bragg Creek to Kananaskis Country. Turn right (West) on Hwy 66 to Powderface Day Use, just past Elbow Falls.
What to expect: The level of effort will range from moderate to difficult and mainly include hand tool work for trail maintenance tasks including removing duff and earth with hoes and pulaskis, moving rock, limbing of branches, creating short sections of new trail, and shoveling/raking out rutting. Expect a 3-4 km hike (1.25-1.5 hour) to worksite.
