We post all the volunteer projects and upcoming events here. Please do NOT just show up for a volunteer project. It is important to Sign Up First to insure we have sufficient tools, equipment, supervision and to be able to notify you of project changes.
Meeting time: 9:30am (9:30am – 4:00pm)
Meeting location: Peter Lougheed Discovery Centre
What to expect: Work is light to moderate, removing cut brush by hand and/or rake, as well as some minimal pruning with shears and/or saws, in places the Bobcat mower was unable to work.
What to bring: You’ll need to wear hiking boots and bring work gloves (Friends of Kananaskis work gloves will be available), rain gear (hopefully not needed), along with your lunch, water, sunscreen, bug spray, bear spray, and other personal gear. All of the tools and equipment will be supplied.
Volunteer Agreement Form: All volunteers working on a Alberta Parks project need to fill out this Volunteer Agreement Form.
The form can be filled out once, and valid for the entire season by filling out the ‘Termination of Agreement’ section at the bottom of the form and adding date ‘December 31, 2016’.
To accelerate the paperwork process, you can print and fill out this form prior to the trail care day. Please present your completed form to the Friends of KC Crew Leader.
