The Lantern Creek Trail is the official route to the Picklejar Lakes, a very popular fishing lake that’s also popular with backcountry campers. Friends volunteers are helping hand-build a new portion of trail that is approx 3km (60-90 minutes) from the parking lot. This section of trail will replace the eroded steep section of trail – shown in the below picture.
Meeting time: 9:00am (9am – 4 pm)
Meeting location: Lantern Creek Day Use
What to expect: There will be a 60 – 90 minute hike to the locations that need to be worked on. The level of effort will be moderate/medium and include rerouting and rebuilding some sections of trail – mostly pulaski and rogue work, with some removal of dead fall and maybe a few rocks to be moved.
SIGN UP HERE – Sign up closes at 12pm on the day prior to the event.
