We post all the volunteer projects and upcoming events here. Please do NOT just show up for a volunteer project. It is important to Sign Up First to insure we have sufficient tools, equipment, supervision and to be able to notify you of project changes.
A section of the Diamond T Loop needs to be re-routed which will consist of tread, trimming, and drainages.
Meeting time: 9:00am
What to expect: The level of effort will range from medium to difficult and include hand tool work such as digging a re-route, removing duff and earth with picks and pulaskis, and shoveling/raking out rutting. NOTE: 1KM hike to work site.
What to bring: You’ll need to wear hiking boots and bring work gloves (Friends of Kananaskis work gloves will be available), rain gear (hopefully not needed), along with your lunch, water, sunscreen, bug spray, bear spray, and other personal gear. All of the tools and equipment will be supplied by Parks.
