We post all the volunteer projects and upcoming events here. Please do NOT just show up for a volunteer project. It is important to Sign Up First to insure we have sufficient tools, equipment, supervision and to be able to notify you of project changes.
Let’s keep building the CNC Lower Loop. This section of new trail extends past the meadow and parallel’s the Banff Trail (winter ski trail) towards the Banff Park boundary.
Meeting time: 9:00am (trail session 9am – 12pm)
Meeting location: Canmore Nordic Centre – Lower dirt parking lot
What to expect: The level of effort will range from medium to difficult and include hand tool work such as digging a new trail, removing duff and earth with picks and pulaskis, and shoveling/raking out rutting.
What to bring: You’ll need to wear sturdy footwear (like hiking boots) and bring work gloves, rain gear (hopefully not needed), along with food, water and other personal gear. All tools and equipment will be supplied.
NO SIGN UP REQUIRED – JUST SHOW UP AT 9:00AM AT LOWER DIRT PARKING LOT.
Volunteer Agreement Form: You will need to fill out this Volunteer Agreement Form.
The form can be filled out once, and valid for the entire season by filling out the ‘Termination of Agreement’ section at the bottom of the form and adding date ‘December 31, 2016’.
To accelerate the paperwork process, you can print and fill out this form prior to the trail day. Please present your completed form to the Canmore Trail Alliance – Crew Leader.
We can shuttling people to the worksite, or you can bike to the worksite if you prefer.
Note: Should we have to cancel – it will be notified on the CTA website and facebook page.
